- MUE Denials alert - Medicare drug denials Practices nationwide are experiencing Medicare denials on several drugs based on the CMS Medically Unlikely Edits (MUEs). The MUEs are edits developed by CMS to reduce the paid claims error rate for Part B claims. An MUE for a HCPCS/CPT code is the maximum units of service that a provider would report under most circumstances for a single beneficiary on a single date of service.

ASCO - Tobacco Cessation and Control Resources There is a growing body of evidence that suggests tobacco use by cancer patients can complicate a wide variety of treatments, including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and surgery. However, patients already diagnosed with cancer can still benefit greatly from quitting tobacco use. Oncology providers have a responsibility to help their patients with tobacco cessation strategies in order to reduce complications and improve patient outcomes.

- LLS’ Complimentary Online Continuing Education The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) offers complimentary online continuing education (CE) activities for healthcare professionals. These activities are certified for registered nurses and social workers. Current LLS activities are available at the links below. Participate and receive CE credit today! CE credit is available for registered nurses and social workers. Upon successful completion of the entire program, post-test (grade of 70% or higher) and submission of the activity evaluation, a certificate of completion will be made available to download, or issued to you via email or US mail within 30 days.
